Why have your dog groomed in the first place?

Why do you wash and brush your own hair? For the same reason as a good groom…to reduce mats and tangles, remove debris and dead hair and to stimulate the scalp. In addition, a nice cut looks good. As with most anything, regular maintenance on almost anything avoids unexpected bills. Maintenance for your dog relates to the same thing. Regular grooming is an important part of your dog’s general health. Depending on the breed, age, and health of the dog, grooming may be a daily activity. Many breeds require significantly less grooming than this, but regular grooming helps to ensure the dog is healthy and comfortable.
